Now, I try to avoid EB Games as a rule these days. Stared at all the overpriced Nintendo Switch games, checked out all the games I’m not missing on the Xbox One and PS4 and then, finally, made my way over to the PC section. While waiting around in a plaza recently, I wandered into EB Games (the GameStop of Australia, pretty much) to kill some time. Which Horizon Chase Turbo most definitely is not – it’s looking mint.Ģ for $20 – a price that’s hard to beat, and for me, definitely within the realm of an impulse purchase. I’m all for delays if it means we’re getting a game that is more than just a quick mobile cash-grab. So maybe I wasn’t too fond of the overly mobile-esque UI either, but Horizon Chase Turbo looks to be heavily re-worked for home platforms.Īquiris Game Studio has taken its time with these ports, and all signs point to it being worth the wait.
OK for gaming on the go – although (practical) physical controls wouldn’t have gone astray – but in my experience, less than ideal for extended play sessions at home. The only qualm I ever had with it was that it was stuck on a mobile device.

I really enjoyed Aquiris Game Studio’s Horizon Chase on my Android device – it’s a great homage to classic racing series like Lotus, OutRun & Top Gear that rises above the nostagia all the same, and is a legitimately great game. Here it comes! More arcade racing goodness! Release Dates May 15th – PC & PS4 Later in 2018 – Nintendo Switch & Xbox One
